Greetings from inworld! This is my web site for elLCee Tabak enterprises. As of 20 December 08, LCT-ent is in development mode with great plans for 2009. We have already reserved space in the Harbor Village Shops on MUSE Island for the release of our debut 2009 collection. In addition to clothing for "real people" inworld, we can offer assistance in SL orientation, event planning and guided tours.
It is part of our business plan, to enable shopping online here as well to better serve our RL business clients.
Please contact me, either inworld or in life, to let me know how elLCee Tabak enterprises can assist you, your business, or school with your virtual world needs.

but I have a sign !
it is quite a hurdle directly in front of me ….
so much to learn about very fast
I believe it is doable…. but such a challenge
...and there is a SIGN
today … I had a day of running around in mental circles until I was exhaused, mentally. I couldn’t decide what I needed to do first. Find a low-prim Vendor? Work on skirts? Tops? Clean my RL kitchen? just have to step back and take one problem at a time.
Time to get the mental gears up … and running smoothly.

No one can ever accuse me of not being game. Had to scrape the bottom of the inventory to get on the boards for the “Best in PJs” – lool. Who ever heard of needing PJ’s in Second Life????? I entered … and won LOL. for the worst PJs ever – as there were no other ladies there! Who was it that said timing was everything?
Best in Purple??? ;-p
The next DJ up announced … Best in Purple!

Today (23 Dec 08) was eventful day. Very. I was trying to catch up on work for Club Sky holiday party – and I did finish my first wearable top as part of Kala’s present. (Unlikely Kala will read this before she opens it up) :p
Well, I’m just getting so many friends inworld that the minute I rez in…. they are on the IM, and there is so much fun stuff to do with them. Out of the blue, through one of my group memberships comes an invite to a roundtable discussion with….
drumroll….. Pathfinder Linden! wow.
well just had to take that one, and hung out for an hour with others in the educational SL world and had a roundtable about what is new, big, and coming for 2009 for those in the ed biz. Not expecting to have that little session, time was creeping away from me and realized I had nuthin’ to wear to Xmas Club Sky party. Not that I hadn’t already worn at least twice while working, and I *knew* that it was going to be a serious fashion show. My best friend, Weave, (unexpectedly) send me a holiday shower of Lindens and so I was able to buy a fab green dress from Sparkle Skye on Imagination
The holiday party at Club Sky was nice. AnthonyPhilip stopped in, even though in his time zone it meant a *very* late night. So did a wee samurai fox and his lady, and some other folks I did not know. There was a contest for the best Holiday Gown, and …. I won. I won. {sigh} I am nearly always surprised when this happens. I was pleased that folks liked my Princess Elizabeth look. I was also happy in finding the green gown I had been looking weeks for that was going to useful far beyond the festive season. Renaissance Island here I come.
Most folks drifted off at 8pm SLT or so, and Quan and I still were up for the rounds, and once again my new great friend has scored a home run. Bailer’s … Bailer’s Island. Kween dropped in in a bit, and we were having a great time. And I was increasing my contemporary country repertoire, thanx to Quan’s stream of requests to our DJ.

The last DJ came on and it was a scheduled “Best in Shorts” event. Yes, in December two days before the holidays gear up. I was quite certain I didn’t have any shorts whatsoever. Our event hostess cajoled folks to enter the contest, and primarily to prove to myself I was short-less, I searched my inventory. Sometime in my freebie scavenging, I had acquired cutoffs… and not being terribly fond of wearing them, had promptly forgotten about them. So I put them on, and switched my hat and boots to my fave black set. Much to my surprise, I tied for 1st place!!!!

The best thing about making new friends in Second Life, is that we can share the places we’ve found. Took my friend Quan to Rowallan Castel, but I think he played the trump card with one of the amazing nooks of Frank’s Place. Which is really 3 places, and if you don’t like Sinatra…. keep the music stream off. Spectacular landscaping all around on Frank’s Place 3. A place to bookmark for a nice place to sit, but if you are adventurous and won’t get unnerved by walking through a waterfall… you will discover some of the best parts of this sim.

and that was what tonight was at the Plaza gathering in Ciudad Mexico. I went for the Best in Green contest, which was clinched by the fellow who showed up in The Hulk avatar the minute he walked in. There was a magical synergy possible between my skate animation and the dance animation. A few folks brought out the FX… and I had to dig into my rave bag for some white flash. Add to that the overhead visuals… and it was as exhilarating as the real thing. Well maybe only 98% as exhilarating as the real thing. (and this new computer sure makes blogging easier!!)

The things I like about the Inn are too numerous to recount – but I so like it as a place to relax after working in “my” club. The Inn is as much about conversation as it is about dancing – and speaking of dance, if you prefer the fling to the frug, the dance choices will accommodate you. It is definitely a come-as-you-are type of place, so I can TP over direct from work, and I never feel out of place – regardless of what I might have on. This afternoon there is a Snowy Owl, several distinguished Highlanders in 19th century frockcoats, myself and a few others in ballgowns, and several in many interpretations of relaxed contemporary couture. From time to time, the Nessie Hunters come in and like me, some will “stick” and come back. Who knows, a giant eyeball might wander in … he is a regular. Currently I am failing spectacularly at the Christmas Quiz questions at the Inn ….
but what the heck… I’m Buddhist. (p.s. - I tied for next to last place in quiz)

I was invited to a party by Roxie Slade, which I wanted to go to very much… but I tried for a whole hour and the TP couldn’t get in. So I popped back down to Fisherman’s Cove ….. i’m not really part of the convo yet, but it is fun. And I can dual task. Working on an animated sign I learned how to make. Struggling up the steep slope in my new software …
Now how do I do … a drop cap? …. an array of identical objects…. etc etc etc. Refraining from allowing myself to feel overly stoooopid.

This post is to journal just today’s varied experiences. My first stop inworld was to pick up a few more of the POE (Peace on Earth) gift globes on the grid-wide holiday hunt. In one of the tinies Shires, I met Lemmie, a ring-tailed lemur. She was a bit bored in the shop so she has now hitched a ride on my shoulder and has quite clever, quiet things to say (but so softly they don’t even register on the chat). She is a bit touch averse, so please resist the urge … I know she is so cuuuuute.
A group notice popped up, and then it was off to the LochNess Inn on the Highlands of Scotland. LauraClaire, the innkeeper was really nice to me when I met her, and therefore I was inclined to give the Inn another visit. (That just goes to show how important my job at Club Sky on eLab City West is). I boogied awhile there, had a chat about my doll collection in RL and singing in choirs. An announcement flashed on for the Advanced Clothing Class using UV maps through NCI. I had been planning a refresher, and I decided there was no time like the present.
Lemmie was not interested, so I went alone. I was glad I did – I remember the general gist of the process of using the UV maps for clothing design, but now I’m ready to implement … all those little details were VERY helpful to be repeated. I am a little daunted at the prospect of learning so many softwares {sigh}. But within days I will be paying rent on an empty shop… so its time to get down and get at it.
I was so happy after I finished I decided to pop over to Club Sky for a bit. I went home in my UV map underwear and the horrible orange shirt, to rez something cute from my POE gift stash. There was a box labeled “Tango Outfit” , which seemed quite promising… and was! It is nicely wearable for man or woman, and I love the suited-chic of the short coat, red tie, and Argentinian hat. Also the basic black boots…. super. Another POE home run. Lemmie joined me and when we dropped into the club, Kween & PJ were there – and I just hopped on a barstool to hang out. One of Myasia’s friends dropped in, and we had a bit of a nice chat. I had no particular plan in mind, thinking I really wanted to get that Weave Oldrich over for some fun. He was tied up with some RL IT snafu, and I was sitting in the Club strategizing on how to get him over.
Another group notice popped up – with a topic I couldn’t refuse “Race in Real Life & Second Life”. Not having much of a preconception of what it might be, I TPed over to the ISTE Island Band shell. For the second time in two days, I was in exactly the right place to meet exactly the right people. It was an amazing lecture by Dr. Marc Aronson who is working with the Federation of American Scientists, buidling a SL site to explore “race”. It promises to be quite exciting.
As I had some more time to fill before I was due to work at the club, I followed a TP from the Ciudad Mexico to see the new setup there by a Mexican artista. They had not put the exact name of her shop in the notice, so I could not findit. Then decided to go back to Muse Isle, see my shop reserved with my name on it and explore the sim I am going to become a part of.
