Ho Ho Ho … Horses

by EllCee on December 5, 2008

My Appaloosa, Phantom, has two herd mates that can usually be found at the watering trough under the Tiki Bar.  They are rather placid, static horses who don’t seem to mind not having the adventures Phantom and I have.  The one mare is being accustomed to a saddle, but I don’t anticipate she will be saddle ready for some time yet.
I have worked with the dual-rider harness with Phantom, and it is quite tricky.  There are not the gait options- it seems that a canter is the only speed that we can carry another rider.  And sadly, we cannot fly with a rider.  {sigh}  I would have so liked to take my friends on my flying horse.    Phantom likes to gallop on the beach from the condos to the Balinese room.   He also likes the Christmas in Galveston tree lot at the pyramids.  Do not ask me why.  He likes to rest in amongst all the trees.  I know he will miss them when the holiday is over.
I also gave Phantom our free Galveston Santa Hat.   I was quite chuffed with myself when I figured out how to put it on his head.
